1. Product description

The AD5933 is a high-precision impedance converter system solution that integrates an on-chip frequency generator with a 12-bit, 1-msps analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The external complex impedance is excited by the signal generated by the frequency generator, and the response signal of the external impedance is sampled by the on-chip ADC, and then processed by the on-chip DSP by discrete Fourier transform (DFT). The DFT algorithm returns one real part (R) data word and one imaginary part (I) data word at each frequency. Then the impedance and phase values of the device under test can be calculated according to the real and imaginary data words.
